The Best Wedding Venues in Surrey

When you hear the name ‘Surrey,’ you probably think rolling hills, racecourses, and quaint pubs, but did you know that Surrey is also home to some of the most dazzling wedding venues in Britain?

Surrey’s long history of carefully tended gardens, beautiful country homes and churches, and abundance of listed buildings mean that when planning for your special day, there’s sure to be a place that simply steals your heart. As a videographer for weddings, I like to think we have a good eye for the most beautiful venues in the county.

So here are a few of the best wedding venues in Surrey. I hope you like them as much as I do!

Northbrook Park

This stunning Georgian house was built in 1810 and is a grade II-listed building set among 120 acres of green countryside in Farnham, Surrey. Once the home of a storied admiral of the Royal Navy, this country manor has, in recent years, become one of the most sought-after wedding destinations in Surrey and Hampshire. With its classic beauty, this venue is the perfect playground for a wedding videographer.

Apart from beautiful grounds, accommodation for up to 250 guests, and expert staff, Northbrook Park also stands out in offering assistance with Asian weddings, with staff familiar with practices and customs of Gujarati, Bengali, Punjabi, and Muslim weddings.

Millbridge Court

Millbridge Court is an updated 19th century house which offers traditional elegance, modern convenience, comfort, and charm, all in one beautiful location. Here one can comfortably accommodate 150 guests, with the ceremony taking place in a lovely designated hall while the reception can be held in an oak-beamed hall nearby. Alternatively, during the summer, you and your guests can enjoy the outdoor ceremony space and courtyard.

Millbridge Court’s staff are also authorized to officiate civil ceremonies, adding an extra convenience which allows you to complete your whole wedding in one elegant location, with comfort, simplicity, and beautiful surroundings for your wedding videographer to capture.

Froyle Park

Froyle Park, situated near Upper Froyle, is a stately 17th century country house at the heart of 80 acres of parkland and sheep pastures. Easily the largest of the three estates described here, this wonderful house can hold up to 300 guests, as well as 27 bedrooms for longer-term guests.

Of particular note are the outdoor dome, a gazebo-like feature very popular in older gardens, which can serve as an ideal focal point for an outdoor wedding, and the grand ballroom, which more than lives up to its name both in splendour and capacity – perfect locations for your wedding video to be filmed in.

With fully licensed rooms and bars, in-house catering options, and staff ready to assist with all types of weddings, be they Asian, LGBTQIA+, Afro-Caribbean, or others, Froyle Park is a perfect destination for a wedding.

Final Thoughts

Each of these marvellous houses has something special to offer and its own unique character, and since any of them would be a dream location for a wedding, I simply couldn’t pick one! But regardless of where you choose to hold your event, you’ll want to make sure you capture the day perfectly.

These are my favourite wedding venues in Surrey not just because of their architectural and natural beauty or the quality of their accommodation, but because each provides a perfect backdrop for your wedding video.

As a wedding videographer, I love filming at these grand old houses, so if you decide that one of them is the right place for you, why not give us a call at 07864212916 or enquire online today?
